§ 3-106. Mayor's staff.

  • (a)

    The mayor may appoint such staff to aid in the discharge of the mayor's duties, including a chief of staff, as authorized by the council. The chief of staff shall have such duties as assigned by the mayor but shall not be assigned any supervisory or management duties outside of the mayor's office or duties which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Charter. Such persons shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor.

    (b)

    Any person appointed chief of staff need not be a resident of the city at the time of his or her appointment but shall be a city resident during his or her appointment.
