§ 8-2078. Swimming pool construction.

  • (a)

    Definition. For the purposes of this section a swimming pool is defined to be a pool, tank or reservoir constructed and adapted for swimming, bathing or water sports, and having a maximum depth of two feet or more.

    (b)

    Building Permit Required. No swimming pool shall be constructed in any dwelling district established by the zoning ordinance without first obtaining a building permit therefor from the bureau of buildings.

    (c)

    Health Department Approval Required. Plans and specifications for any swimming pool shall be submitted to and approved by the health department of the county in which it is located. After approval by the health department the plans and specifications shall be submitted to and approved by the director.
