§ 19-1002. Authority.

(a)

This chapter has been prepared and adopted by the council of the city in accordance with the authority provided by article 9, section 2, paragraph 4 of the Constitution of the State of Georgia and the "Georgia Development Impact Fee Act" (O.C.G.A. title 36, chapter 71), as it may be amended from time to time.

(b)

The provisions of this chapter shall not be construed to limit the power of the city to use any other legal methods or powers otherwise available for accomplishing the purposes set forth herein, either in substitution of or in conjunction with this chapter, including but not limited to the city's exclusive authority to exercise the power of zoning and adopt plans pursuant to article 9, section 2, paragraph 4 of the Constitution of the State of Georgia and all ordinances and plans adopted pursuant thereto.
