It is the intent of this article to authorize the department of city planning, acting
through its respective bureaus, to exercise the power conferred by the General Assembly
pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 41-2-8 through § 41-2-17 in order to seek the repair, closure,
or demolition of dwellings, buildings, or structures meeting the standards herein
identified/defined through an in rem enforcement action before the City of Atlanta
Municipal Court.
