§ 106.2. STOPPING WORK.

  • (a)

    Whenever, in the opinion of the Director of the Bureau of Buildings, defective or illegal work in violation of a provision or requirement of this Code is in progress, he shall order, in writing or otherwise, such work to be stopped, and may require suspension of all work until the condition in violation has been corrected.

    (b)

    The Director of the Bureau of Buildings shall have authority, after due notice, to cut off electrical power to any electric wiring equipment or appliance which, in his opinion, is unsafe to life or property and to require discontinuance of the same until the electric wiring, equipment or appliance is made safe in conformance with this Code.
