Whenever, in the Director's opinion, defective or illegal work in violation of a provision
or requirement of this Code is in progress, an order shall be issued, in writing or
otherwise, to stop such work, and may require suspension of all work until the condition
in violation has been corrected. In addition, whenever any building is being erected,
altered or repaired in such a way as to allow the use of said property in violation
of the Atlanta Zoning Ordinance, the Director shall order the work stopped. Anyone
violating the provisions of said stop work order shall be guilty of an offense.
