The city, acting through the department of housing and community development and working
in conjunction with various other departments and bureaus of the government, is authorized
to maintain an urban homesteading inventory of residential properties which may be
received by the city through any means; provided, however, the residential properties
to be maintained on this inventory shall be subject to inspection by the bureau of
buildings and found to be redeemable for residential purposes.
(b)
Any residential property meeting the criteria set forth in subsection (a) of this
section shall be eligible to be placed upon the urban homesteading inventory and disposed
of as provided in this division.
