Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 46-1. Lease agreements for Cyclorama.
(a)
Authority to negotiate and execute. The mayor or a designee, which is presumed to be the director of the Cyclorama of the city, is authorized on behalf of the city to negotiate and execute lease agreements from time to time with persons or organizations wishing to rent the Cyclorama.
(b)
Discrimination prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any lessee of the Cyclorama to discriminate among potential exhibitors or patrons because of race, color, creed, religion, sex, domestic relationship status, parental status, familial status, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, age, or disability.
(c)
Contents of contracts. All contracts entered into for the leasing of the Cyclorama shall contain language which incorporates subsection (b) of this section pertaining to antidiscrimination and shall provide that a material violation of this section shall, at the option of the mayor or a designee, operate to void the contract and to terminate the event being held, should the mayor or a designee so declare.
