§ 30-1247. Application; issuance.
(a)
Any person desiring to carry on a detective business or private security business in this city shall make a verified application in writing to the police chief.
(b)
The police chief may grant a permit to any person meeting the following qualifications:
(1)
The applicant is at least 18 years of age.
(2)
The applicant is a citizen of the United States or, if an alien, the applicant must have a U.S. Immigration Service work permit.
(3)
The applicant has not been convicted of a felony or other violation showing a pattern of disregard for the law.
(c)
The application fee is $25.00 for any company or individual acting independently and a company shall be required to pay $5.00 for each employee.
