The Keep Atlanta Beautiful Commission is established and created pursuant to section 3-401 of the Charter and the commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the city council
to empower communities to safeguard and enhance the city's aesthetic appeal as embodied
and reflected in the built and natural environments in an effort to help improve quality
of life, and stimulate economic growth and development opportunities within the city.
The Keep Atlanta Beautiful Commission shall be composed of 18 members representing
business and professional groups, trade unions, educational groups, civic clubs, the
chamber of commerce, other groups and the general public. The Keep Atlanta Beautiful
Commission shall operate under the purview of the department of public works.
