Under this article, if a contract involving research, development, experimental or
demonstration work is funded by the city, the contract shall include provisions giving
notice to the contractor that the city shall have the right to any discovery, invention
or patent arising out of the contract and requiring the contractor to include a similar
provision in all subcontracts involving research, development, experimental or demonstration
work.
