§ 2-1542. Eminent domain.

  • If the chief procurement officer fails to reach accord with the owner of real property for the purchase thereof for use by the city or if there are defects in the title which are not cured, upon authorization by the mayor and the city council by appropriate legislation, the city attorney shall secure fee simple title by the institution of condemnation proceedings in the court of the appropriate county according to the state law of eminent domain.
