§ 2-970. Property put in possession of purchaser at sale under assessment execution.

  • It shall be within the power and authority and shall be the duty of the chief financial officer, in all cases where the chief financial officer has sold any property within the limits of the city, under executions issued to enforce the collection of assessments due the city or transferees of such executions, to put the purchasers of the property so sold in possession thereof, on demand of the purchasers, just as if the property had been sold under an ordinary tax execution issued by the city.
