§ 2-926. Indemnity insurance.
The chief financial officer, with the approval of the mayor and the council, is authorized to and shall procure indemnity insurance to insure the city against loss of money, records or property through any dishonest or criminal act committed during the continuance of the insurance, through the connivance of any employee while occupying and performing the duties of any position of the city, in an amount not less than $25,000.00 each. Any bureau director in the department of finance serving as deputy municipal revenue collector and the chief financial officer shall be covered by indemnity insurance as required in this Code.
