§ 22-101. Lost and found articles; disposal of unclaimed articles.
Any person finding lost articles in any area of the airport shall promptly deposit them at the office of the aviation general manager or with any city police officer on duty. Articles with an estimated value of $500.00 or more which are unclaimed within 60 days shall be disposed of to the highest bidder at public sale. Articles with an estimated value of less than $500.00 which are unclaimed within 60 days shall be disposed of on the open market and without the acceptance of bids. The estimated value of any personal property to be sold shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the mayor or the designee of the mayor. Nothing in this section will be construed to deny the right of airport tenants to maintain lost and found services for property of passengers.
