§ 138-85. Traffic calming devices—Removal.

  • Speed tables on a street segment may be removed if all of the following conditions are met:

    (1)

    Seventy-five percent of property owners within the street segment where the traffic calming devices are installed must, via formal petition, request their removal.

    (2)

    The speed traffic calming devices have been in place no less than one year.

    (3)

    The property owners are made aware that speeds will increase upon removal of the traffic calming devices.

    (4)

    The property owners agree to pay all costs associated with such removal.

    (5)

    The department of public works agrees that removal of the traffic calming devices will not negatively affect public safety.
