§ 122-126. Required; application.

  • (a)

    No person shall engage in business as a precious metals dealer without first obtaining a permit.

    (b)

    A permit for a precious metals dealer shall authorize the permittee to engage in the business of a precious metals dealer.

    (c)

    Application for the permit to engage in business as a precious metals dealer shall be made to the police department and shall be accompanied by an application fee of $100.00.

    (d)

    The application for a permit shall be in writing and shall be sworn to or affirmed by the applicant. The application shall contain the name, address and age of the applicant, together with the names, addresses and ages of all other persons having an ownership interest in the business other than a publicly held corporation. Applications for publicly held corporations shall include the names, addresses and ages of all officers of the corporation and their titles, as well as the name and address of a permanent agent for service within the city. All applications shall contain an accurate description of the premises upon which the business is conducted and the zoning and planning classification of the premises, as well as such other things as may be required from time to time by the department of police.
