§ 110-31. Additional qualifications of Commissioner of parks, recreation and cultural affairs.
(a)
In addition to the general qualifications set forth in subsection (b), the Commissioner of parks, recreation and cultural affairs shall possess experience in either public or private employment at a senior supervisory level in at least one of the following fields for a minimum of two years; park management or planning, large-scale community recreation program management, and cultural program administration.
(b)
In addition to the duties related to the administration of the department, the Commissioner of parks, recreation and cultural affairs shall also be responsible to:
(1)
Operate and manage the city's neighborhood centers; and
(2)
Supervise the operation and management of the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center as a commercially viable asset to the cultural life of the City of Atlanta.
