§ 106-402. Findings.
(a)
The council finds that there is a high rate of drug related crime in certain commercial areas, as studied and determined by the Atlanta Police Department, as reported in Exhibit A, which is hereby incorporated by reference as if fully set forth.
(b)
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 16-13-32.6, the City of Atlanta creates and designates drug-free commercial zones to be located in those areas more fully described in the attached Exhibit B, which is hereby incorporated by reference as if fully set forth, consisting of previously zoned commercial property pursuant to the city's planning and zoning powers and residential property contiguous to such commercially zoned area extending not more than one-half mile from the external boundary of any portion of the commercially zoned area, as certified in Exhibit C.
(c)
For purposes of this article, designation of commercial property and contiguous residential property shall be that as set forth in chapter 16 of this Code, as it shall be amended from time to time.
